Basic and detail engineering

Engineering was performed in a single stage over 4 months, with challenging customer requirements regarding connection detailing. Despite the compressed schedule, all engineering deliverables were completed while maintaining compliance with the project specifications and applicable design standards.

The production of the steel structures was carried out in China. As a result, the majority of the connection types had to be redesigned at the final stage on short notice to accommodate fabrication constraints and optimize manufacturability.

Due to the challenging support requirements of the main equipment, several iterations of the main frame structures were carried out in order to reduce the loads on the foundations. Close cooperation with the client and equipment suppliers enabled the structural concept to be optimized without compromising safety, functionality, or the project schedule.
